Western Diesel Services Inc is Hiring a Quality Manager Near St Louis, MO

Onsite in St. Louis, MO. From $85,000-$90,000.

CK Power is looking for a Quality Manager at our St. Louis, MO location. The Quality Manager is the functional leader accountable for execution and maintenance of a Quality Management System including all systems, processes, and direct resources used in the measurement, monitoring, and improvement of CK Power product quality. You will champion a zero-defect culture and use your experience in quality control and improvement methods to drive down costs of poor quality, improve company efficiency, and increase customer satisfaction. Your overriding goal will be to have defect-free products delivered between every step in the value chain and ultimately to the end users and through the end of the life cycle.

What You’ll Do:

Inbound Material Quality Management

  • Inbound Material Inspection
  • First-Article Inspection
  • Non-Conforming Material Management
  • Supplier Quality Dashboard Creation, Reporting, and Improvement

Production Assembly Quality Management

  • Pre-Delivery Inspection Work Planning & Prioritization
  • In-Process Validation Implementation
  • Root Cause & Corrective Action Management
  • Quality/Defect Data Aggregation & Feedback to Manufacturing Partners

Initial Field Quality Management

  • Failed Parts Return Management
  • Root Cause Investigation
  • Warranty Reporting & Supplier Recovery
  • Quality/Reliability/Durability Measurement and Reporting

Personnel Management

  • Pre-Delivery Inspection Team Performance Management
  • Production Quality Team Performance Management (Shared with Plant Manager)
  • Resource Planning and Budgeting
  • Hiring and Administrative Duties

Process Optimization

  • Development and improvement of business systems used to capture failure and defect information (e.g. FRACAS, NCMR, etc.)
  • Internal Quality KPI Metric Creation, Reporting, and Improvement
  • Quality Management System definition

What You’ll Need:

  • BS/BA Business Administration or relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in Quality Management in manufacturing, production, and supply chain. 
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Strong computer skills and understanding of Manufacturing Operating Systems (MOS)/Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Kanban experience.
  • Proven ability to identify and initiate process improvements. Ability to identify and utilize key resources.
  • Experience in Six Sigma.
  • Proven understanding of financial management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Friendly and customer-focused attitude.
  • Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven attitude.
  • Strong ethical conduct.
